Each region has different deadlines.
Please refer to the Delivery Times Tab on the Product Information pages for regional deadlines.
We may make changes to these deadlines from time to time.

‘No-exchange’ cylinder orders:
We deliver ‘no-exchange’ cylinder orders as quickly as possible but delivery times are dependent on the availability of cylinders. We will advise you of the expected delivery time if it diverges from the above commitments.

All Orders
We do not offer an after hours delivery service.
We cannot guarantee specific delivery times.
Estimated arrival times can be communicated to you as soon as we are able to make accurate predictions.
We deliver during ‘normal’ office hours and usually complete deliveries by 5pm. If there are delays or during peak demand periods we may deliver later than 5pm.
We will communicate any later than expected deliveries to you as soon as we are aware of the situation.
If there is nobody available to accept the delivery and we have to return to make the delivery, there may be delays in our promised delivery time. Similarly, if the delivery information supplied by you is incorrect or incomplete we may be delayed in completing your order.
We always do our best to complete all deliveries on time. On weekends we do our very best to get gas delivered to you as quickly as possible but this does depend on the availability of our depots.

Please review the delivery time table under each gas product in the shop for a visual representation of expected delivery times based on the time of ordering and the service you select.

When purchasing gas, you are buying Liquid Petroleum Gas in a gas cylinder of the size selected when you place your order. All our gas cylinders are filled by trained professionals and the gas cylinders are sealed at the time of filling. We guarantee that the gas you purchase is properly filled, safe and complies with all safety standards. You are not buying the gas cylinder. This remains the property of the gas company. You are only buying the gas in the cylinder.

When placing a no-exchange order please note the cylinder remains the possession of the manufacturer. You are paying a deposit for the use of the cylinder. The cylinder may be returned to us at anytime.

As soon as the your delivery is processed you will receive an e-mail confirming your order.
Unfortunately we are experiencing technological challenges in the Outlying Areas (of Cape Town) region so customers in this region should ignore the following and simply contact the office for an estimated delivery time.
For customers in all other regions as soon as your gas is despatched for delivery (approximately 60-90 minutes from delivery), you will receive an e-mail and an SMS from us.
This will give you the name and contact details of  the delivery contractor assigned to your order, an ETA and a link to a map allowing you to track the delivery in real time.
Please note that the website will also allow you to track the order from a link on the site. Please note that this link should be ignored as it is a very rough system generated ETA and it is not able to predict the many changes and exigencies we encounter en route and that that can alter the ETA drastically. If you are unsure of what is happening with your order or if you need a more accurate ETA you are free to contact the driver or the office staff who can all give you a more accurate ETA.

No. All fees are disclosed at the time of the transaction. You will never pay more than the amount approved by you when placing your order.

Standard delivery in our existing delivery areas is free. There are additional charges for ‘rapid delivery’. The rapid delivery fee is disclosed to you when placing your order.

Please assist us by being available to receive your gas when we arrive.
For customers in Gauteng and Durban, we will send you an SMS and an e-mail approximately 60-90 minutes prior to arrival. Please make use of this information to ensure someone is available to receive the gas or reschedule the delivery asap.
We do our best to deliver at times when you have indicated you will be available. Please make use of the order notes field when checking out to provide us with delivery information.
Should you not be available, and we have to return later we reserve the right to levy an additional delivery fee. We will always allow you one ‘extra’ free delivery. We know, life happens.

We offer both ‘exchange’ (when you have an empty cylinder) and ‘no-exchange’ (when you do not have an empty cylinder, that is you have a new gas installation, or need an additional/spare cylinder) deliveries. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee delivery times of ‘no-exchange’ cylinders as this depends on the availability of cylinders from manufacturers. Please place your order and we will advise delivery times as soon as possible. Please feel free to contact us if you have any queries or concerns. Please note we do not supply empty cylinders. Your ‘no-exchange’ cylinder is provided with gas. The rates charged include the deposit on the cylinder (you do not purchase the cylinder, only the gas in it), the gas supplied and of course the delivery is always free on the standard delivery option.

No, we will happily exchange your existing gas cylinder with one of our refills. This is a seamless process for you. Just place your order on the app and we will do the rest. Please note that in some regions we are limited by which cylinders we can accept as exchanges. If you are not sure about your cylinder’s eligibility please feel free to give us a call and we will happily assist you.

If there is a problem with your delivery, please contact us so that we can ensure you are 100% satisfied with the service you receive. If we have really messed up, please feel free to cancel your order by contacting us. We will happily refund you in full (provided the cylinder’s seal has not been broken or tampered with).

That is why we are here. We deliver to you. For Free!

You can order a ‘no-exchange’ cylinder from our online shop https://gas2me.co.za/shop/ and we will deliver a cylinder to you without requiring an empty in exchange. Please note our no-exchange cylinders are exchangeable in the future. The phrase ‘no-exchange’ just means that we will not require an empty from you in exchange for the cylinder. Please always use a reputable and qualified installer for your new gas appliance. Gas appliances are not DIY projects as gas. Unfortunately we do not offer an installation service, but please feel free to contact us and we will put you in touch with an approved and qualified installer.

No, please contact us and we will put you in touch with a qualified technician who can certify your installation.

Gas is reliable. Gas is efficient. Gas is safe. As long as you keep your gas cylinders filled you have an uninterrupted supply of energy. We suggest always having two cylinders, a cylinder ‘in use’ and a spare. As soon as the ‘in use’ cylinder is empty switch over to the spare and order an exchange cylinder from gas2me straight away. This will ensure you always have gas. It helps mitigate the effects of loadshedding and other power outages. Gas is also a cleaner fuel than some other energy sources and its efficiency means it is much better for the environment than some other sources of energy.

Yes, for security reasons we need you to have a username and password. Please note this is purely an ‘operational’ account. It is not a financial account. We do not operate any financial accounts. As long as you have a credit card or a debit card or use the electronic funds transfer service at checkout you can purchase from us. Our system will ask you for a username and password. This allows our our ordering system to remember your delivery details making repeat purchases a simpler process. Please note we never store credit/debit card nor any banking details.

If your delivery region is listed on the delivery region menu in the product page, we can probably deliver to you.
Please view theindicative delivery area maps on our Delivery Areas page.
If you are still unsure as to whether we can deliver to you please Contact Us for more information.
Should a gremlin have snuck in we will notify you of any errors and happily refund you in full if we cannot help you. Please note, for safety reasons we do not deliver to the Pretoria CBD.

Please contact us as quickly as possible and we will re-route your order asap.

We always do our best to supply gas at the most competitive prices. Gas prices vary by region and are affected by transport costs. We therefore provide gas at the price appropriate for the region in which it is delivered.

Please ensure you order gas based on the correct delivery region. Please take a look at our Delivery Areas page if you are unsure which region to use when ordering your gas.

Please select the province in which the gas must be delivered when placing the order.
Please view our Delivery Areas page to assist in choosing the delivery region when placing your order.
We will collect your billing address at the checkout stage. It is important that you choose the correct delivery province because LP Gas prices vary regionally. We always do our best to supply gas at the most competitive prices. We therefore provide gas at the price appropriate for the region in which it is delivered.

If you have not checked out yet, please go to your shopping basket (the icon is at the top right hand corner of the screen. next to ‘checkout’) and edit the order there (don’t worry you will not be charged) you will need to go back to the product listing and select the correct province you want us to deliver your gas to. If you have already checked out, don’t panic. Please contact us. We will cancel your order and refund you in full. Feel free to place a new order straight away, selecting the correct province you want us to deliver your gas to so that you ensure an uninterrupted supply of gas.

You should always order the same size cylinder as the empty that you have to exchange with us. We can exchange for different size cylinders but please note that special arrangements need to be made in advance if you wish to do this.

If you are ordering a no-exchange cylinder always order the size cylinder that your appliance is rated for and/or the size cylinder your qualified installer has suggested you use.

Gas is sold by weight of gas supplied. We supply 9kg, 14kg (Western Cape ONLY), 19kg and 48kg gas cylinders. Note this is the weight of gas supplied. You should always order one of these sizes.

Your cylinder will (amongst a plethora of other information) have two weights stamped on the cylinder on or near the handle assembly. The ‘tare weight’ or ‘t weight’, ‘tare’ or ‘tw’ is the empty weight of the cylinder. This is sometimes printed on the cylinder as well. It will usually be a number that includes a decimal (eg 10.75). This is NOT the weight of gas. This is the cylinders empty weight. Do not use this number when ordering. The other number on the cylinder will be ‘LPG’ or ‘LP GAS’ or PROPANE followed by 9, 14, 19 or 48. This is the weight of gas the cylinder is rated to contain. This is the number you order by.

Should you suspect a leak immediately close all emergency shut off valves on your installation and or close the valve on your cylinder. If the leak persists remove the cylinder from the appliance and take it outside. Make sure it is at least 2 metres away from windows, doors, drains and that there are no open flames or people smoking near it.
Please feel free to contact us on 0655269117 and we will assist you further.
If your appliance is not working please contact a suitably qualified technician who will assist you. If you do not have a technician please feel free to contact us and we will put you in touch with someone.

Returning customers: Don’t Panic. We have got your back. We will ALWAYS accept any cylinder that was previously supplied by us for exchange.

New customers: We can only accept ‘exchangeable’ cylinders for exchange. If you have an Oryx, an Easigas, a Total, a Handigas, Afrox etc cylinder we can definitely accept your cylinder.
Please note as we work in a variety of different geographical areas with different suppliers the list of cylinder we can accept in exchange is in fact greater than the illustrative list above.
If you have any doubts please feel free to contact us and we will happily advise and assist you in this regard.

If you have an Alva, Cadac or Safy we are unfortunately unable to accept your cylinder. But do not despair you are welcome to place a ‘no exchange’ order and we will bring you a full cylinder without needing an empty cylinder in exchange.
Again any cylinder we supply will ALWAYS be accepted by us as an exchangeable on any future order made by you.

Please remember, regardless of the brand of cylinder, you must always order cylinders of the same size/capacity as your empty. We can only accept cylinders of the same size as exchange orders. If you need cylinders of a different size to the one you have please contact us before you place your order so that we can assist you in this regard.

If you have an empty cylinder to exchange for a full cylinder, please place an EXCHANGE order. We will bring a full cylinder to you and take away your empty.

If you do NOT have an empty cylinder to exchange for a full cylinder, please place a NO EXCHANGE order. We will bring a full cylinder to you. Then when you need to order gas again we can exchange this (now empty) cylinder for a full cylinder.

Exchange cylinders are clearly marked with a large light blue dot in the product image and described as EXCHANGE in the product description.

No exchange cylinders are clearly marked with a large dark blue dot in the product image and described as NO EXCHANGE in the product description.

Please note you can only exchange cylinders of the same size (capacity).

If you are ordering a NO EXCHANGE cylinder please order the appropriate size cylinder for your appliance/installation. You need to make sure that the cylinder you are ordering will fit inside your appliance and that the cylinder is the correct size for your installation.

Please ask your installer about the size of cylinder you need for your installation.

In the case of a stand alone appliance (eg a heater) the size of cylinder will be clearly stated on the product packaging.

If you have any doubts please feel free to contact us and we will assist you.

If you are ordering an EXCHANGE cylinder please make sure you order the same size cylinder as you have as an empty: we can only accept ‘like for like exchanges’.

If you are unsure please look carefully at your existing cylinder.
IGNORE THE LARGE NUMBER WITH A DECIMAL THAT MAY BE PAINTED ON THE SIDE OF YOUR CYLINDER.
This is the tare/empty weight of the cylinder and is not relevant to you.
Look instead for the words ‘contents’ or ‘capacity’ followed by a weight (9kg, 14kg, 19kg or 48kg) THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED.
Order THIS size of cylinder.
If you cannot see this on the side of the cylinder please look at the handle.
There is LOTS of information here. You can safely ignore almost all of it. You are looking for:
LP GAS
LPG
PROPANE
Followed by a number (9kg, 14kg, 19kg or 48kg).
THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED.
Order THIS size of cylinder.

Unfortunately, if your cylinder is a different size (1kg, 3kg, 5kg, 7kg etc) we are not able to assist you as the smallest size we stock in our supply chain  is 9kg.

AGAIN PLEASE IGNORE THE LARGE NUMBER WITH DECIMALS ON THE SIDE OF THE CYLINDER.
ONLY CONSIDER THE WEIGHT ASSOCIATED WITH THE CAPACITY/CONTENTS OF THE CYLINDER.

Firstly, please check the cylinder when signing for the delivery. If you have any concerns please raise them with the driver. He can usually assist. If you are unsure please contact us at the office and we will assist.

Please note that the large number with decimals on the side of the cylinder is the EMPTY weight of the cylinder. It is NOT the weight of gas we have supplied.
The weight of gas supplied is ALWAYS embossed on the handle and is associated with the words
LP GAS
LPG or
PROPANE
It may also be painted on the cylinder with the words ‘contents’ or ‘capacity’.

It is very unlikely that a driver will deliver the incorrect size cylinder (the cylinders are easily identified to our trained drivers and in the case of exchange cylinders our drivers know they can ONLY accept cylinders of the same capacity as exchanges). The driver will therefore ensure that the correct size cylinder is delivered.

In the unlikely event that a driver has made a mistake please let us know BEFORE the seal on the cylinder has been broken so that we can rectify the problem.

Sometimes our stock levels on certain ‘no exchange’ products run low. When this happens we will put the product on back order.
This means that we have placed an order for additional cylinders and are waiting for them to arrive.
Delivery of your order may therefore be delayed a few days.
Please place your order and we will deliver to you asap.
If you need a more accurate delivery time please feel free to contact us and we will advise on the expected delivery time of your product.

Well, the obvious answer to this question is that when your appliance stops working, you need gas!
But as is often the case, the obvious answer is not exactly helpful!
You can estimate when your cylinder is nearly empty by weighing your cylinder and subtracting the tare (empty) weight (found on the cylinder handle). The resulting number is how much gas you have left.
Weighing larger cylinders is hard work. So if you prefer (or if you do not have a scale) you can boil a kettle. Pour the hot water over the cylinder. Run your hand down the side of the cylinder. Where there is no gas the cylinder will be warm. Where the gas is the cylinder will be cool. You can now estimate how much gas is remaining in the cylinder.
Your BEST solution is to buy a spare cylinder. That way this question need no longer vex you!
